Bike of the Week: Honda CBX 1000 Supersport 1979 1 owner just 14,598 miles Staggering condition £NOW SOLD

£NOW SOLD

Fresh in from the USA, a one owner, July 1979 Honda CBX 1000 Supersport. Still in it’s glorious, original and almost unmarked Candy Glory Red paintwork, and still has the toolkit in place. It’s been laid up for many years after the original owner moved onto another motorcycle, and parked this up in his ‘den’. The mileage is original. The fuel tank is fairly dirty inside, so we squirted some starter fluid into the air box, and it fired first time. Everything electrical works perfectly. No smoke or rattles, and sounded glorious with all six cylinders burbling. We don’t have to tell you how these CBX have rocketed in value, and as an owner of one myself, they are worth every penny! Rare to find a Honda CBX 1000 in this standard condition, so be quick.

This must be one of the best looking British motorcycles ever made, and now getting one of the hardest to find!

The bike was part of a private collection in Europe that was imported from the US in the late 80s. The bike has all the original paintwork and is unrestored. Mileage of 15,595 is believed to be genuine. Comes with new battery, and US Title. The engine sounds very nice, with no rattles or clonks, shifts through the gears perfectly, and everything works. Bike of the week: 1968 BSA B44 Shooting Star NOW SOLD

Fresh in from the USA, an August 1968 BSA B44 Shooting Star with matching numbers. Super rare bike, totally original, and never been touched, just missing the silencer, (what you see is what you get) But we don’t have to tell you that the price of these BSA/Triumph singles is rocketing, and that don’t get any rarer than this gorgeous B44 Shooting Star, I have exactly the same bike in my own collection!

The engine turns over with fantastic compression, and with a jump battery on, a bit of fuel in the carb, it started straight away! Engine sounds gorgeous, no smoke, rattles or leaks. Good oil return. The bike has obviously been looked after, as the oil is very clean. All gears select perfectly.

Getting hard to find these now, so be quick, it won’t be around long at this price!
