Fresh in from the USA, an August 1978 Honda CBX Z in Candy Glory Red, in staggering, untouched and unrestored condition. Handbook and tool kit still in place. Frame number is CB12010488 Engine CB1E2010678. Documented 2 owner bike from new. Second owner bought it on the 31st May 2006 with a mileage of 1,565 for $4385.50. The original purchase invoice is included with the bike from Finish Line Speciality Sales, Princeton, Minnesota. On the 12th February 2015, it was serviced by a Honda main agent in Minnesota, at a cost of $909.92, the work included front brake calliper rebuild, tappets and cam chain adjustment. Mileage on the the invoice in the file is 2,594. Paintwork is all original. The first owner bought an ‘A’ tail piece from Honda in 1980 and it arrived all painted. This was a popular mod in the day. The bike is almost faultless, just a chip in the tank paintwork, and a repair to the one pipe (pictured). Apart from that, it’s absolutely staggering. If it did’t have these 3 items, the bike would be £20,000. So at this price, it’s priced very competitively.
The Bike is not UK registered, but does come with all paperwork, (NOVA and US Title) to enable you to register it on an age related plate. Just add to this, Insurance and the DVLA £55.00 first reg. fee. Full written instructions are supplied with the bike.
