Triumph Daytona T100R 1971 3 owners, time warp, un-restored, 100% original £7999

Fresh into stock, a May 1971 Triumph Daytona T100R. Matching numbers EE24170T100R. Manufactured on 27th May 1971, and dispatched on the 2nd June 1971 to Triumph dealers, Moores Motors, Tottenham England. On the 22nd June 1971, a Mr Keith Viglietta, a Boeing employee and a US citizen purchased the bike for £381.05 under Triumph Personal Export scheme. This meant that if you were a US citizen, you could buy the bike over here, and ride it around a bit then Triumph would ship to the US free of charge, probably to avoid the purchase tax of the time. The bike was then crated by Moores Motorcycles and exported to Baltimore by Aer Lingus on 28th August 1971 at a cost $127.27.

The bike is totally original, unrestored and untouched, the only thing that has been changed are the silencers for the original type, and new Amal carburettors have been fitted.  All the paintwork is original Triumph, and even comes with the original owners handbook and Triumph Sales Brochure showing the exact bike in that colour scheme.

The bike runs and rides like it should, the mileage is genuine as verified by the hand written service history, and requires nothing. Unit truly is an exceptional, and once in a life time find. A must for any serious collector.

The bike comes with:

Original Handbook (with work and services detailed by the owner in his hand writing)

original Tool kit

Both ignition keys, both steering lock keys on the original Moores Motorcycles leather key fob!

Don’t forget it’s tax exempt.
