Fresh into stock this glorious, and very rare BSA A65 Lighting Rocket. The lighting Rocket was a highly tuned version of the BSA A65R Rocket this was BSA’s bid to capture the potentially lucrative USA export market in the mid-1960s.
Frame number: A50B5421
Engine Number: A65D2964
This example has been partially restored to a general a65 spec rather than full A65L spec (it does not have lightning rocket carbs or tank for instance(, but the work so far as been completed to a decent standard, which includes:
Freshly powder coasted frame
Boyer Brandon Electronic Ignition
It needs finishing off with the wiring loom connecting, fuel system plumbing a very other jobs here and there. A cracking project for an enthusiast.
The bike is not UK registered, but paperwork is supplied (NOVA) so you can register it on an age related plate. Just add to this, MOT, Insurance and the DVLA first reg. fee of £55.00. Full written instructions are provided with the bike on how to register it.
